Athens university to open Cyprus branch

The National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) is set to open a branch in Cyprus, offering all the course and specialisations available at its Athens campus.

The plans were confirmed during a meeting between President Nikos Christodoulides and NTUA rector Ioannis Chatzigeorgiou at the Presidential Palace on Wednesday.

Following the meeting, the director of the president’s press office Victoras Papadopoulos confirmed plans are already in motion to open the branch in Cyprus as soon as possible.

“The government and the president welcome the initiative carried out by the NTUA, viewing it as part of the internationalisation efforts and addressing the needs of both the Cypriot economy and society,” an official statement released after the meeting said.
