My boyfriend catfished me massively – I was shocked but forgave him, but now we’re constantly trolled over his secret
A GIRLFRIEND has revealed how her boyfriend catfished her before they started dating.
Zakia first met Rob six years ago after meeting online and finding a bond with each other over video chats.
However, Zakia was left in shock after meeting her now boyfriend in person as he had not disclosed his real height.
Speaking on Love Don’t Judge, she said: “He didn’t have a profile picture and he was pushing this narrative that Rob was a didn’t tell type before we met.
“Later, I gave him a chance and he asked me a question, what did I like, and I like money.”
Zakia, who is 5ft 6in, met Rob, who is 4ft 5in on Facebook – but because their relationship developed online, it meant that Rob’s height was hidden from her.
When the pair decided to meet for their first date, having known Zakia’s love for money, Rob decided to give her $1,000 (£773.17) after pulling up in a big truck, reports the Mirror.
“It wasn’t love at first sight because he didn’t tell me his height still,” says Zakia.
“The height thing was still a shocker.”
But she didn’t let the height get in between them, and the pair have since been together and continue to stay loved up.
“We’ve been together for six years, we’ve had our ups and downs,” says Zakia.
“All relationships are not perfect but we definitely had some rough stages.”
Rob was born with osteoarthritis – or arthrosis – and when he was a child had to wear braces on his legs.
The mum of two says: “I’d been seeing a lot of different couples on social media with like a disability or different height in relationships.
“So I’m like one day ‘let’s just record or whatever’ and when I put it on there – he didn’t like it at first but whatever.
“I thought they were really feeling it on here, let me just make a couple more and that’s how TikTok came about.”
Unfortunately for the couple, this has meant that trolls have targeted them.
Many wonder if Zakia is hungry for fame, and is only with him to earn some money.
Zakia spoke out and said trolls have said their “relationship is fake,” or if Rob is her son.
However, the pair insist their bond is real and that they are very much loved up.

Zakia says: “We just want to show people we’re having fun. This is what we’re doing in our life, it might look like I’m clowning him but this is our everyday life.
“Us having fun, us arguing, us playing, it’s just our life. Just because he’s shorter than me it looks like something it’s not.”
Zakia currently has 18,000 followers on TikTok, with some videos reaching over two million views.
She regularly shares updates on her life with her partner, and in one video is talking about how “broke” she is.
Hitting back at trolls who believe Zakia is with him for fame, Rob stands firm that they “really love each other.”
