Who are the Team GB flag bearers at the Paris 2024 Olympics opening ceremony?

There is yet to be an official confirmation of the Team GB flag bearers at the Paris Olympic Games.

However, reports from The Times suggest diving hero Tom Daley will be a flag bearer.

And rowing sensation Helen Glover is also in line for the greatest honour at the opening ceremony.

How are the flag bearers chosen?

The British Olympic Association formally chooses Flag bearers for Team GB.

However, each sport involved in Team GB is asked to nominate one of their competitors to produce a shortlist, which is then voted on.

Chosen flag bearers receive a certificate to commemorate their selection.

When is the Paris 2024 Olympics opening ceremony?

The Paris 2024 Olympics opening ceremony will take place on Friday, July 26.

It is scheduled to get underway from 6:30pm BST which is 7:30pm local time.

But coverage will start from 5:45pm on BBC One in the UK.

Organisers have revealed that the opening ceremony will be historical as it will take place on the Seine River instead of inside a stadium.
