City launches new campaign to promote free business support service

Liverpool City Council is excited to announce the launch of a new, city-wide, outdoor marketing campaign to promote its comprehensive Business Support Service.

The initiative aims to encourage local businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs to register to apply to receive a range of fully funded business support packages, designed to foster growth and create employment opportunities across Liverpool.

The Council’s Business Support Service has received £1.59m from the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority as the lead authority.

The ‘Embrace Your Full Business Potential’ campaign features eye-catching advertisements in Moorfields and Central stations, as well as on digital screens at key bus stops and high-traffic locations, including Queens Drive, Edge Lane, and at numerous sites across Liverpool city centre.

Kate Bull, Liverpool City Council’s Director of Economic Strategy, Skills and Sustainability said: “Liverpool is filled with hard working, fantastic entrepreneurial people. Our Business Support Service helps them thrive by offering comprehensive support at every stage of business growth. From start-ups to established enterprises, we provide free essential resources for success.

“With our new campaign, we’ve expanded our reach to connect with even more businesses across the city, ensuring everyone is aware of the support available. We expect this initiative to significantly boost engagement, helping more Liverpool businesses flourish.”

Delivered by a new framework of specialist advisors, the tailored support will cover areas including exporting and international trade, human resources, lean and process improvement, marketing and sales, procurement and tender readiness and strategic business planning.

The colourful, but concise campaign has purposefully been designed by Marketing Liverpool to help direct people to the right delivery body and enable people to quickly gauge an overview of the support available.

Created to target diverse audiences across the city, the campaign will raise awareness and encourage sign-ups for people to apply to access free business support, including expert advice, workshops, strategic guidance and signposting for businesses at all stages.

The outdoor marketing campaign promotes elements of Liverpool City Council’s broader Business Support Service, which includes:
