'Harsh': Fox Business guest gets pushback for smearing Kamala Harris with sexual slur

A guest on Fox Business recently smeared Vice President Kamala Harris by implying that she owed her political success to giving sexual favors.

The Daily Beast reports that Fox Business guest Alec Lace described Harris as "the original Hawk Tuah girl," which is a reference to a viral video in which features a woman making a sound effect related to giving a man oral sex.

"Kamala Harris, she is the original Hawk Tuah girl -- that’s the way she got where she is, and the party is going downhill if it’s in her hands," he said.

The slur drew a mild rebuke from Fox Business Dagen McDowell, who told Lace that his attack on Harris was "harsh," but he has continued to promote his description on his Twitter profile.

“Did I go too far on FOX News calling Kamala Harris the OG Hawk Tuah girl or am I right over the target?” he asked in one post.

Republicans have insinuated that Harris got where she is thanks to a consensual relationship she had in the 1990s with former San Francisco mayor Willie Brown, who is 30 years older than she is.

This has dovetailed with Republican attacks on Harris as a "DEI hire" who was only chosen by President Joe Biden because of her race and not because she has any qualifications for the presidency. She was previously elected as attorney general of California and as a U.S. senator.
