'Blubbering old fool' Trump trashed  for latest demand about Joe Biden

President Joe Biden will address the nation on Wednesday night where he is expected to explain why he dropped his campaign to be the Democratic Party's 2024 presidential nominee which, in turn, led one of Donald Trump's lawyers to demand that all the major networks carrying it offer him equal time.

And that has led critics to turn to social media to ridicule the former president, with many claiming that, since Biden is no longer a candidate, he has no right to make any demands — unless he also plans to step aside.

As the New York Times reported, "... in the letter, which was obtained by The New York Times, the Trump campaign’s general counsel, David Warrington, asserted in advance of Mr. Biden’s speech that it would most likely address Mr. Biden’s endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris as his successor."

Warrington also insisted, "It appears that President Biden’s speech will not be a bona fide news event, but rather, a prime-time campaign commercial.”

Commenters on X disagreed, with one writing, "trump [sic] is talking bulls--t when he says he needs equal time because Biden is speaking tonight. No Biden is the president they do not have to give a--hole equal time."

Former White House correspondent Peter Maher explained, "#Trump calls on major networks to give him 'equal time' in response to tonight's

@POTUS speech. Did he miss the memo? He's no longer running against Biden."

Huffington Post journalist S.V. Dáte helpfully suggested, "Trump, who demanded 'EQUAL TIME' just days ago, has a standing invitation to come testify under oath at the Jan 6 committee, chair Bennie Thompson said."

"What a toddler," Ina Florence wrote, with Chuck Satterlee comparing the former president to the demanding Veruca "I want it now" Salt from 1971's "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory," before pointing out, "Snowflake, crybaby, adjudicated rapist, insurrectionist, convicted felon fraudster, lying, adulterer, twice impeached, very very old, morbidly obese, donald trump is whining for equal time today on tv as @potus addresses the nation."

Bill Kane saw an upside in putting Trump on TV, writing, "Whiny little witch named trump [sic] is crying because Biden gets prime time audience tonight claiming equal time. I think they should give him the time so more and more people can see how he has cognitive decline."

"Trump keeps screeching about 'equal time.' At the hearings he's heard constantly, on recorded phone conversations and videotape, spewing lies and fraud. He's had more than equal time, to expose himself as a hateful and inept criminal," writer and humorist Paul Rudnick commented.

Elish Parker wrote, "Trump yelling about wanting equal time. I’m absolutely certain that they’d let him testify for as many hours as he’d like. F--king idiot."

"Joe Biden will address the nation tonight. I just heard that Trump is demanding “equal time”. That blubbering old fool thinks he’s still President," Michael Witschel added.
