First Dates return date confirmed by Channel 4 – and it’s just days away

A POPULAR Channel 4 show is returning to screens – and fans have just days to wait.

First Dates began airing in 2013, with spin-offs First Dates Hotel and Teen First Dates later airing.

The programme has starred maître d’hôtel Fred Sireix since the beginning.

In its format, several people take part in dates, none of whom have met each other before.

Having grown in popularity over the years, viewers won’t have long to wait for the next batch of episodes.

First Dates will be back starting from Tuesday, August 6 at 10pm.

In the decade since the show debuted on Channel 4, Fred has become a recognisable face.

Last year, he was one of the stars taking part in I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.

Fred featured alongside the likes of Nigel Farage, Josie Gibson, Jamie Lynn Spears, Tony Bellew and eventual winner Sam Thompson.

Ultimately, Fred became the third person voted off.

He also fronts Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip for ITV, with Gordon Ramsay and Gino D’Acampo.

The 52-year-old previously shared his acting ambitions – including a desire to bag a part in a long-running soap opera.

He said: “[I’d love to be in] EastEnders. I can see myself, I’ve already written the lines actually.”

He added: “I’d be playing I think a gangster. We just arrived there and then at the end, I get killed.

“And there’s lots of things happening in between but at the end, I get killed and disappear and never be seen again in the square.”

Meanwhile, viewers were previously left stunned when a reality TV star turned up looking for love.

Waitress Cici Coleman correctly identified the guest as Aaron Evans, one of three joint winners in The Traitors series one.

Speaking to Fred and Cici, Aaron, who’d been a “Faithful”, revealed he gave all of his share of the prize money to his mum.

However, he admitted to later “asking for £3,000 back because I was broke”.

The Faithfuls of series two were less lucky, as Traitor Harry Clark walked away with the entire prize.

First Dates airs on Channel 4.
