23 lakh new workers enrolled under ESI Scheme in May this year

In May 2024, formal job creation under ESIC surged by 13.9%, with 2.30 million new jobs compared to the previous year. A considerable portion of these additions, 48.37%, were young workers. ESIC also registered 20,110 new establishments under the ESI scheme, reflecting enhanced social security coverage.
