Macron made these remarks on Tuesday, July 23, during an exclusive interview with Radio Free Europe in the lead-up to the Paris Olympics.
He noted that the decision by the United States to withdraw from Afghanistan had significantly impacted girls and women in the country. Macron highlighted that France had done everything possible to accommodate refugees and protect people in the aftermath of the U.S. withdrawal and its consequences.
