Stories that inspire return to Kalopanayiotis

Inspiring stories are coming to Kalopanayiotis village as the second edition of Pop Up Talks, Stories That Inspire is set to take place in the first week of August. Following the success of the first event last April in Argaka, Paphos, this thought-provoking event returns with more speakers and stories to share. Mark your calendars for August 3.

“This event promises to continue the tradition of open discussion and inspiring storytelling, featuring distinguished Cypriot speakers who will explore various and interesting topics,” say organisers. “The Pop Up Talks: Stories That Inspire initiative aims to empower local residents by offering them the opportunity to attend talks from individuals with knowledge, experiences, ideas and life stories that can inspire us through their presentations.”

Four speakers will take the floor next week. Poly Grigora, a Volunteer for Mental Health Empowerment, will share her personal journey from stigma to self-awareness in mental health, discussing the critical need for social transparency regarding mental illnesses such as depression, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

Christina O’Neill, a Trainer, Coach and Facilitator, will delve into the concept of the Transformation Mindset, emphasising the importance of changing old habits and beliefs to promote personal growth and transformation. Dr Nikos Konstantinou, Associate Professor of Cognitive Neuroscience will present on The World As We Perceive It: Reality or Illusion?, exploring how our brain shapes our reality and what this means for our understanding of the world around us. Lastly, entrepreneur Simos Kitiris will analyse the value of seeking challenges and embracing obstacles for personal and professional development.

The event, held in Greek and hosted by the Kalopanayiotis Community Council and supported by the communities of Moutoullas, Oikos, Pedoulas, Gerakies and Mylikouri, is open to all and hopes to offer attendees the opportunity to explore personal and professional growth while learning and networking.
