Rihanna showed off a preppy-inspired outfit on her Instagram account on Tuesday. Her outfit featured a black colorway of her latest shoe release, known as the Fenty x Puma Creeper Phatty “In Session.”
“Since I clearly won’t be achieving my six pack til next summer, I switched my summer goal to matching my shoes to my panties!” Rihanna captioned the post.
The superstar and entrepreneur demonstrated how the Creeper Phatty can fit into a preppy ensemble. She showed off her chic street style by wearing a beige pleated skirt featuring a plaid pattern; she tucked an oversized light blue collared button down into the skirt and left one side out, creating an effortlessly stylish and classic aesthetic.
Rihanna wore the shirt buttoned in the middle, revealing a black bra from her Savage x Fenty lingerie brand. The Fenty CEO matched her skirt to the Nano Speedy purse from Louis Vuitton, designed with the brand’s signature brown and beige pattern. She also accessorized with layered necklaces and aviator glasses.
Rihanna pulled the look together with her recently released Creeper Phatty “In Session” shoes. Wearing white crew socks with the triple black colorway of the chunky sneaker, her footwear was well coordinated to the rest of her outfit, with the shoes matching the color of her bra. The $120 shoe is covered in corduroy and suede and features wide laces with gold aglets. The Puma formstrip displayed on the side is made of leather while the outsole is 100% thermoplastic rubber. Last but not least, the Creeper is known for its platform crepe sole.
Rihanna’s outfit aligned with her school-themed “In Session” campaign, which stars the Fenty mastermind herself in addition to Anjelica Huston and Chloe Cherry. Rihanna and Puma released the first version of their Creeper in September 2015, and the style has been reinvented in a myriad of new ways since, taking home FN’s Shoe of the Year Award in 2016. The multi-hyphenate artist is also known to slip on Pumas for her off-duty looks; she recently wore the Liga OG Retro sneakers while out in New York.
