A Jack in the Box customer allegedly ran over an employee in a rage around a missing chicken strip and ranch sauce.

Talanye Carter, 41, ‘complained about a missing single chicken strip from the order she received’ from the fast food joint three days prior, according to a probable cause affidavit filed with St Louis Circuit Court in Missouri.

The manager at the restaurant on the 4100 block of Lindell Boulevard in the Central West End neighborhood replaced the missing chicken strip, states the affidavit from Thursday.

But Carter ‘became unhappy with the lack of ranch dressing provided and then spit in’ the worker’s face, it states.

That wasn’t the end of the encounter.

As Carter left the Jack in the Box, the manager went out a different exit and took down her vehicle license plate.

‘You’re trying to get charges put on me?’ Carter allegedly shouted at the worker while running into the victim’s shoulder.

Carter proceeded to enter her vehicle, reverse it and accelerate backwards into the employee, ‘striking her left foot and ankle and throwing her to the ground’, according to the affidavit.

The victim suffered a swollen and bruised leg from being run over in the July 16 incident.

Carter fled the scene and was taken into the custody the next day.

She has been charged with one count of second-degree assault, two counts of fourth-degree assault, and pleaded not guilty.

Carter is jailed without bond while awaiting her detention hearing on July 30 and a court appearance on August 20, KTVI reported.

It is not the only recent violent attack at a fast food restaurant in the US over sauce.

In April, a man allegedly shot another McDonald’s customer who tried to stop his tantrum at a worker over missing sauce. The suspect is accused of cursing at the employee in Zephyrhills, Florida, and grabbing the Good Samaritan’s throat and punching him when he tried to intervene.
