Coronation Street’s Nick Tilsley makes shock confession after attacking cult leader Rowan

CORONATION Street’s Nick Tilsley has made a shock confession in tonight’s episode after Leanne Battersby pushed him and Toyah away.

The businessman – who is played by actor Ben Price in the ITV soap – has been carrying on with his cancer-stricken sister in law Toyah behind the back of his be-culted partner Leanne.

Having spotted an Institute spy taking pictures of them hugging, Nick lost it and went after the man – before losing him and deciding to go and deal with Rowan.

Charging into the Institute’s event at the newly refurbished Chariot Square Hotel, Nick punched Rowan and all hell broke loose.

With Rowan refusing to speak to the police, Nick and Toyah were convinced he would soon expose their affair to Leanne.

Later Leanne thundered into the flat and made an admission, telling Toyah: “I know I’ve not been a very good sister but I was hurt by you telling me you didn’t want me involved in your cancer treatment.”

She explained that Rowan had convinced her what to do.

“I’m going to withdraw with love,” she said.

“You’ll always be my sister and that won’t change. But because of the situation here and what’s going on with you two, I feel like I need to withdraw emotionally for your sake.

“I’ll still live here. This is purely about your cancer treatment. I will be actively disconnecting. I hope you understand.”

Nick and Leanne were utterly stunned and Nick tried to talk her around – but Leanne wouldn’t listen.

She was too brainwashed by Rowan and the cult to see it – and Nick made a shocking decision himself.

Speaking to his brother David, he made a shock confession.

“When she got the cancer diagnosis, it changed the way I felt,” he told David.

“I wanted to cry. I couldn’t face losing her. I can’t change how I feel.”

“Well that’s a worry because you’re actually meant to be going out with Leanne,” said David.

What are the signs of ovarian cancer?

Ovarian cancers affects the ovaries – the organs that store the eggs needed to make babies.

It mostly affects women over the age of 50 and can sometimes run in families, according to the NHS.

Symptoms of the cancer can be vague, particularly in its early stages, Cancer Research UK SAYS.

The charity advises you speak to a GP if you have the following symptoms:

  1. Feeling full quickly
  2. Loss of appetite
  3. Pain in your abdomen or lower part of your abdomen that doesn’t go away
  4. Bloating or an increase in the size of your abdomen
  5. Needing to wee more often
  6. Tiredness that is unexplained
  7. Weight loss that is unexplained
  8. Changes in your bowel habit or symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome, especially if this starts after the age of 50

The NHS added that bleeding from the vagina after the menopause could be another possible symptom of ovarian cancer.

“I know,” replied Nick.

“Because I actually think I’m falling in love with Toyah.”
