Discovering Saratoga: Horseshoes hidden on Beekman Street

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) - It's back! Three hundred authentic Saratoga racehorse shoes will be hidden throughout Saratoga Springs this year as part of a popular family-friendly scavenger hunt. Now in its second year, a new hunting location was added in the hopes it will attract people to discover the Beekman Street Arts District.

“To get people out in nature and to also just celebrate what our city is all about; Health, history, horses, and of course the long-held appreciation for the arts,” said Jennifer Claeson, founder of Saratoga Hidden Horseshoes.

Thirty of the horseshoes were decorated by local artists this year as part of the collaboration with the Beekman Street Arts District. Susan Rivers, an artist from the Cottage of Art & Design, helped to spearhead the collaboration.
