Billy Ray Cyrus Seemingly Responds to Leaked Audio Recording of Argument With Ex Firerose

An audio recording of Billy Ray Cyrus in a heated argument with ex Firerose has leaked.

The 62-year-old musician and actor can reportedly be heard calling the 35-year-old singer a number of names and insulting her, and following the leaked audio, he has shared a statement on social media seemingly in response.

In the audio recording, via TMZ, Billy Ray went off on Firerose for making him late to an event, which was a Nicki Minaj concert where he was asked to join her on stage.

He called her an “idiot,” a “dumba–,” and accused her over walking all over him and not listening. He also talks about her health issues.

However, sources close to him say the recording is “heavily edited and doesn’t accurately depict the situation,” the outlet reports.

“I don’t think you’re real smart. I changed my damn mind on that s**t. What you are is a selfish f–king b-tch,” Billy Ray says in the clip.

Firerose seemingly tries to calm him down, but he turned the blame back to her and says the fight wouldn’t be happening if she hadn’t “stirred the pot.”

Seemingly in response to the audio leak, Billy Ray shared a statement on his Instagram story.

“Hell yeah I was at my wit’s end. As every day went by, I started realizing something was wrong,” Billy Ray wrote on Wednesday (July 24). “And that’s before I knew she was a fraud. I just knew something wasn’t right. That was before I knew she was David Hodges ex-wife. That’s before I knew her parents last name. I had no idea she was arrested for felony residential burglary.”

“I saw before my very own eyes, everything I thought I knew about her, was a lie,” he continued. “She was trying to take over my career, my life and usurp the Cyrus name for her own gain. See you in court.”

Just last week, Billy Ray got a win in court amid their separation, where he is seeking to annul their marriage.

Firerose has also made several allegations against him, including one of his kids encouraged her to leave him.
