Julie, looked radiant as she was snapped in a light blue denim jumper, paired with a red scarf and cargo trousers.

It marks the 84-year-old actor’s first known public appearance since she was last spotted in 2016 on a trip to the dry cleaners.

During her career Julie starred in a number of high-profile movie roles including horror-mystery Don’t Look Now with the late Donald Sutherland.

The 1973 film features a sex scene between the characters, with many fans mistakenly thinking they actually carried out the act for the cameras.

Julie previously shot down the claims, admitting it was just “pretend sex” but the comments left her and Donald “dreadfully embarrassed”.

She also played Lara Anitpova in Doctor Zhivago, which is one of the most highest-grossing films of all time.

Julie received an Oscar for her work in Darling all the way back in 1965, with her other titles Afterglow and Away From Her receiving Academy nominations.

In the last decade Julie has kept a low profile after previously turning her back on Hollywood.

She spends her time in Wales and also London.

Explaining her decision, she previously told Daily Express: “Hollywood was against everything I had been brought up to appreciate.

“My late mother Rosemary was wise and frugal, quite austere.

“She was conscious about the environment, even in those days. I always hang up my washing outside or even on a pulley. It’s a complete waste of energy to use dryers. My mother’s hate of waste has filtered down to me probably because I was a war baby. There was no waste in the war was there? Everyone had to make do with what they had got.

“I can’t even talk about waste without being indignant. My introduction to Hollywood was a society which used it, sniffed it and threw it away. We have become a bit like that ourselves in Britain. There is an attitude among successful people of spend and spend, flaunt and flaunt and don’t think of anyone else.

“The world of celebrity didn’t mean a single thing to my mum. Her attitude filtered down to me, which is why I take all the celeb stuff with a pinch of salt.”
