Biden addresses U.S. for the first time since dropping out of the race

TOPEKA (KSNT) - President Joe Biden is addressing the United States for the first time since announcing he is dropping out of the presidential race in November.

Wednesday, July 24, Biden is speaking to Americans for the first time since announcing he will not seek reelection in 2024. Biden announced on social media on Sunday, July 21 that he is dropping out of the race.

After stating he is intending to finish the rest of the term, he endorsed Vice President Kalama Harris to serve as the Democratic nominee in the November election. In the Sunflower State, the Kansas Democratic Party announced it will be endorsing Harris as well.
