Person stabbed at Metro station in North Hollywood, suspect at large

Authorities responded Wednesday to a report of a person stabbed at the Metro Redline station near Chandler and Lankershim boulevards in North Hollywood, police said.

At 1:52 p.m., officials got the call reporting the possible stabbing near the east side of the MTA Redline platform at street level. An ambulance was requested, but it wasn’t immediately known whether the victim was transported to a hospital.

“The suspect is described as a male Hispanic in his 30s, black shirt, black shorts on a black bicycle, last seen on the east side of the parking lot,” according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The suspect was still at large Wednesday afternoon.

Video footage captured of the scene showed blood on a concrete planter.

No further details regarding the weapon used, motive or victim’s condition were available.
