Reinsalu calls into question legitimacy of Pevkur appearing as defense minister

Opposition Isamaa party chairman Urmas Reinsalu believes that since Hanno Pevkur (Reform) has not taken the oath of office of a member of government before the Riigikogu, he cannot participate in meetings as Estonia's minister of defense. According to Reinsalu, the duties of the defense minister should be carried out by the defense minister's first replacement, in this case Minister of Finance Jürgen Ligi (Reform).
