During autumn, the country sees highs of 28C and a 90 per cent chance of clear skies.

In fact, Egypt has much to offer in autumn and winter, and it’s usually described as a destination for “affordable luxury.”

Egypt ranked above popular destinations like Spain, Bulgaria, and Turkey in this year’s “top 15 destinations for holiday money value”.

The findings of the Post Office‘s Holiday Money Report 2024 come following a report analysing the prices of eight popular items typically bought on holiday.

According to the report, Brits should find bottles of local beer costing £2.95, glasses of wine from £4.03, and three-course meals for two, including a bottle of wine, from £44.12.

Here are some of the best all-inclusive holidays we’ve spotted in September:

  • 7 nights all-inclusive at Empire Beach Aqua Park, Egypt – from £469pp
  • 7 nights all-inclusive at Coral Hills Resort, Egypt – from £475pp
  • 7 nights all-inclusive at Empire Hotel Aqua Park, Egypt – from £490pp

If you’re unsure where to go, Sharm el Sheikh and Hurghada are the most popular resorts for tourists.

Sharm el Sheikh is mainly popular for its “amazing” beaches and crystal-clear waters for diving.

Most hotels in the resort town have private beaches, but there are miles of sandy beaches to explore.

The Red Sea is home to more than 1,200 species of exotic fish, 350 of which are in Sharm el Sheikh.

Much like Sharm el Sheikh, Hurghada is also home to incredible beaches and diving hotspots.

Hurghada is also closely located near historical monuments like Luxor and the Eastern Desert, allowing visitors to enjoy Egypt’s rich cultural history.

For more bargains, there’s another underrated beach destination with cheap pints, short flights, and holidays from £330pp.

And we’ve also revealed the three ‘best TUI hotels’ in the Balearics – with huge pools, beachfront locations and ‘incredible’ facilities.

Meanwhile, EasyJet releases hundreds of last-minute package holidays this summer, including free child places.
