'That's not happening!' Fox Business guest flips out at stronger-than-expected GDP growth

Economic data released on Wednesday showed that the American economy grew at a strong 2.8 percent in the last quarter, which was stronger than what many economists had expected.

Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo, who helped cost her network hundreds of millions of dollars when she decided to promote false claims about Dominion Voting Systems that were concocted by a woman who believes she can speak to the wind, scrambled to put a negative spin on the report.

During a roundtable discussion, Bartiromo highlighted aspects of the report that were not as positive as the topline GDP number, such as durable goods sales being down by 6.6 percent month over month.

Toggle co-founder and CEO Jan Szilagyi, however, pointed out that the durable goods numbers are "volatile," so the monthly drop might not be as alarming as it seems.

Bartiromo then moved on to question whether the economy really grew as fast as what the government is claiming.

"The GDP at 2.8 percent, you have to believe that we're going to see a revision there," she said.

This prompted guest Rebecca Walser to flatly claim that the GDP number was wrong.

"That's the most optimistic, fairy tale numbers I've ever seen in my life!" she exclaimed. "Come on! We are not growing at 2.8 percent annualized! That's not happening! And this is going to be revised downward! Why is it 2.8? What is bringing this number so high unexpectedly when durable goods were down!"
