Cindy Crawford Gives Her Opinion on Austin Butler's Lingering Elvis Presley Accent

Cindy Crawford is reacting to Austin Butler‘s much-talked about Elvis Presley accent.

If you don’t know, for some backstory, Austin is dating Cindy‘s daughter, model and actress Kaia Gerber. Austin portrayed Elvis in the 2022 film Elvis, and after filming, fans noticed for years that his speaking voice had changed from what it once sounded like. Fans picked up on the fact that Austin now sounded like Elvis in his every day life, which he addressed a few times.

While making an appearance on Watch What Happens Live!, Cindy played “Plead the Fifth,” and one of the questions was to give her “take on his never-ending Elvis accent.”

“I just…That’s Austin to me,” Cindy shared.

She added, “I didn’t know that he was from Anaheim [California.]”

She continued, “He spent so long being Elvis that I think it just stuck. I’ve never heard him … like, I didn’t know him pre-Elvis. So that’s just Austin to me.”

Other questions Cindy was asked were her least favorite George Clooney film and a designer she’d never work with again. Cindy chose Facts of Life for the George answer, and a Greek swimwear designer for the designer she wouldn’t want to collaborate with again.

If you didn’t see, Austin‘s ex Vanessa Hudgens actually commented on the fact that he still sounded like Elvis months later, and the comment went viral.
