Netflix viewers left shaken by true crime series so disturbing it needed a trigger warning
VIEWERS of a Netflix true crime series have been left shaken to the core by the harrowing events discussed in the documentary.

Fans have branded House of Secrets: The Burari Deaths as “super creepy” after being left with chills from watching the three-parter.
Netflix has even been forced to carry a trigger warning to fans before watching the programme as a result of its eerily disturbing nature.
Before each episode kicks off, the streaming platform broadcasts the message: “The following series contains graphic depictions of suicide which some viewers may find troubling.”
The harrowing The Burari Deaths follows the disturbing deaths of 11 members of the same family in India.
The Chundawat family are believed to have taken part in a mass suicide after being left convinced that 45-year-old Lalit had become possessed by the spirit of his father.
In June 2018, 10 of the 11 members of the family were found hanging from the ceiling fan in the hallway of the family home.
They were all sporting blindfolds at the time of death.
The eleventh, Narayani, aged 77 and the oldest of the family, was found dead on a bed as a result of strangulation.
Diaries found in the house at the time of the death led Police to their theories that the family had developed a condition of shared psychosis which led them to make the decision as a ritual.
The events of what happened have been chronicled in the eerie docu-series that has led fans to warn others to “not watch alone”.
Writing online, one viewer said: “A really good series but warning it is super creepy.”
Another added: “I watched this a couple years ago, it is very disturbing.. but I couldn’t stop watching.”
A third insisted it was a “must watch” as they said: “The primary and best thing of this documentary is its unbelievable true case. I think it’s a must watch.”
But they then quickly added: “DISCLAIMER : Please DON’T watch this ALONE at NIGHT.”
At the time of the deaths, Indian police kept all lines of enquiries open with foul play not being ruled out.
However, crucial CCTV soon emerged which appeared to back the chilling suicide theory as it showed two members of the family willingly carrying stools into the property.

10pm – The elder daughter-in-law was seen carrying the stools into the property
10:15pm – Two of the boys were also seen entering the property with wires which were used in the hanging
10:39pm – The family ordered takeaway fod
10:54pm – The elder son took the family dog for a walk
11:04pm – The man re-enters and no one from the family is seen alive again
5:56am – Milk cartons left at the house are remain untouched
7:14am – A neighbour walks in and witnesses the horror
Some evidence appeared to suggest that the family were not expecting to die and that they would “emerge stronger” after performing the ritual.
In one of the diaries found, a note written on the day of the deaths concluded with the message: “…keep water in a cup, when it changes colour, I will appear and save you.”
It is believed all members died around 1am when they commited the ‘final act’.
