Katie Price reveals ‘exact moment’ she knew marriage to Peter Andre was over as he raged over trainer Andrew Gould
KATIE Price claimed she was left “hyperventilating” after she was pictured out with dressage trainer Andrew Gould and their friends while married to Peter Andre.
Following the news that Andrew has been called up to Team GB‘s dressage team for the 2024 Olympics, an old interview with the horseman and Katie has resurfaced.
Andrew was at the centre of Katie’s divorce with Peter in 2009 after she was accused of having an affair with him.
Katie, 46, and Andrew, 43, have always denied any infidelity and they even previously spoke out together about the rumours.
In the same year as her split with Aussie singer Peter, Katie sat down with Andrew and his then-wife Polly for a magazine chat.
Katie told OK! magazine how she panicked after being pictured on a night out with Andrew and their equestrian friends.
Andrew’s wife Polly was there at the time, but Katie said she was still concerned about Peter’s reaction.
She told the publication: “I said Pete would go mad if he knew I was out with Andrew because he had a problem with him, but everyone was saying ‘Don’t be silly, you’re a grown woman, he’s here with Polly’.”
Although Andrew was among the group of friends, one picture focused on Katie and a ‘mystery man’, who she says was gay.
“I was pictured on the front page with a ‘mystery man’ but the guy was gay and someone Pete had met before. But straight away I felt sick,” she added.
“I wanted to get out of the house and avoid a confrontation with Pete because I knew he’d be angry. On the way to Andrew’s stables I was hyperventilating.”
Katie told OK! that Peter phoned her and told her ‘he had also found a McDonald’s receipt for two in her car’ and that ‘their marriage was over’.
In the joint interview, Andrew told the magazine: “She put him on loudspeaker… He was yelling, ‘So you were driving along having a McDonald’s playing the happily married couple together?’
“I suddenly thought, ‘God he really doesn’t like me’.”
Andrew is set to be first reservist for Team GB’s dressage team at The Olympics, which kicks off in Paris on Friday.
It comes as six-time Olympic medallist Charlotte Dujardin pulled out of the upcoming Games this week after a disturbing clip emerged online showing her striking a horse 25 times with a large whip.

The team’s reservist Becky Moody will take Charlotte’s place as part of the trio going for gold. Andrew will now be called up as the new reservist.
Katie and Andrew have always denied anything ever happened between them.
The former glamour model – aka Jordan – was close friends with his wife Polly at the time. Polly even went on to be a bridesmaid at Katie’s second wedding to Alex Reid.
However, as the years rolled by, Polly and Katie’s friendship splintered and they both exchanged bitter words about each other.
Andrew and Polly, who have two children together, also split. He remarried in 2017.
