Albany man sentenced to 25 years in prison for manslaughter

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- According to the Albany County District Attorney's Office, an Albany man was sentenced to 25 years in state prison and five years of probation on Thursday. Dario Lewis, 32, pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter before this sentencing.

As a part of his previous guilty plea, Lewis admitted to intending to cause serious injury to Elijah Thompson, causing his death on November 11. He was originally charged with second-degree murder but pleaded not guilty to that charge on December 6.
