Police found 2 badly decomposed bodies in Brooklyn apartment: sources
KENSINGTON, Brooklyn (PIX11) --- Police found two badly decomposed bodies while responding to a wellness check at a Brooklyn apartment on Wednesday, according to sources.
Police found a dead man and woman, 54, in the apartment at 640 Ditmas Ave. in Kensington at around 10:20 a.m., according to the NYPD. The bodies were severely decomposed, making it difficult for authorities to identify them and ascertain if a crime was committed, sources said.
Sources said officers were called to the apartment to check on the woman but it was unclear who called 911.
The medical examiner will determine the cause of death of each victim, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
