New Lidl grocery store opening in Queens

FRESH MEADOWS, Queens (PIX11) – A new Lidl grocery store will open at the end of the month in Fresh Meadows, and its first shoppers could get up to $100. 

The grocery chain’s new location will open at 8 a.m. on July 31 at 187-04 Horace Harding Expwy. After that, the store will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. 

On opening day, the first 100 people in the store will get gift cards up to $100. 

The location will hire 40 positions starting at $19 per hour with benefits, according to a representative of Lidl. Job listings for the store can be found on Lidl’s website. 

Lidl already has a number of locations across New York City, including Ditmars Steinway, Elmhurst and Harlem.
