‘Real reason’ Love Island’s Matilda was left RAGING by ranking challenge revealed by fans who say ‘she hated that!’
LOVE Island fans are convinced they know why Matilda Draper was so angry about the villa’s ‘ranking’ challenge.
Matilda, 24, was left so fuming by the task that she declared to the islanders she was “livid” while throwing her hands around in the air.
The challenge, called A Couple Of Sorts, saw the couples guess where they had been ranked by viewers on a variety of scenarios, including who is ‘staying together to win’ and who is ‘least likely to work on the outside’.
They had to discuss it as a group before three couples placed themselves on 1st, 2nd and 3rd podiums.
And unfortunately for Matilda and her love interest Sean Stone, they were ranked in first place for having the worst fashion sense.
Matilda yelled: “My outfits actually slay. I’ve provided so many outfits for the girls.
“I’m so livid that Ive got to stand in first place. Are you joking? First place!”
She even gave the one fingered salute with both hands to show her dissatisfaction.
But fans think they know exactly why it hit such a raw nerve with Matilda and were quick to discuss it on social forum Reddit.
They believe Matilda fears the title could quash any future deals with high fashion brands, including Pretty Little Thing, which some islanders land once off the show.
One viewer wrote: “Matilda’s livid coz she thinks it will impact her PLT deal being least fashionable!”
Another added: “Matilda watching her much sought after PLT deal slip away with that vote.
And a third said: “Goes to show what she’s really on the show for.”
Over on X, formerly Twitter, the view was the same.
Someone else posted: “Matilda saw all the PLT & Boohoo deals slipping away that’s why she’s so angry she’s first place for worst dressed!”
After the results were revealed, many of the islanders tried to appease Matilda by blaming Sean for the win.
But Matilda still didn’t let it drop.

Speaking in the Beach Hut alongside Sean, she said: “That one is what cut me deep.
“I refuse to have anything to do with this because I know that I dress great.”
Wednesday night’s Couple Of Sorts ranking task came to an abrupt end after two of the islanders were dramatically dumped.
Grace Jackson and Reuben Collins were sent home after being voted the least likely couple to survive in the outside world.
Their axing came just five days before this summer’s Love Island final.
