SANWO-OLU COMMENDS MADAM ASHABI OBASANJO’s GUIDANCE

Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has commended the foundational upbringing that shaped the life of former President Olusegun Obasanjo. He gave the commendation yesterday in Abeokuta during a presentation of a musical play titled: “Aremu Omo Ashabi – A Mother, A Son and Destiny”.

Mr. Governor, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. ‘Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin remarked that the musical, organised in honour of late Madam Bernice Ashabi Bankole Obasanjo, mother of former President of Nigeria, His Excellency, Chief Olusegun Aremu Obasanjo, highlighted the profound impact of mother on a child and nation.  

He commended the late Mama Ashabi Obasanjo for her motherly love, care, strength,  foundational upbringing, and values instilled in her son, Obasanjo, who served Nigeria meritoriously as Head of State and President. He also appreciated the role of mothers and their impact on the lives of children and the community.

Governor Sanwo-Olu commended the team for a great performance and encouraged mothers not to fail to instil the right values in their children and wards.

The 66th remembrance held at the Main Auditorium, Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta, Ogun State, had in attendance the wife of Ogun State Governor, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun; Ogun State Deputy Governor, Mrs. Noimot Salako-Oyedele; Secretary to the Ogun State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi; Osile of Oke-Ona, Egbaland, Oba Adedapo Tejuosho, his Oloris, other guests, and NYSC members.
