GOVERNOR SANWO-OLU HOSTS SAINT FINBARRS’ COLLEGE OLD STUDENTS ASSOCIATION

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has hosted the leadership of St Finbarrs’ College Old Students Association who recently paid a courtesy visit to his office at Alausa, Ikeja.

The team led by its President, Mr. Patrick Doyle and the football legend Mr. Henry Nwosu, MON, was received by the State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Mr Jamiu Tolani Alli-Balogun;  his counterpart for Youth and Social Development, Mr. Mobolaji Abubakre Ogunlende and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Mr. Gboyega Akosile.

The Association leaders commended the Governor for his swift response and intervention when he learnt of Mr. Henry Nwosu’s severe medical travail recently and subsequently footing his medical bill for the surgery and other associated costs,

This gesture of the Governor, according to the President of the Association, did not only save the life of Mr. Henry Nwosu but is also a testament to Mr. Governor’s belief that the labour of our heroes should not be in vain.

The Association, however, requested more support from the State Government for its plan to resuscitate Technical Education at Saint Finbarrs’ College with the proposed establishment of a technical department for the school. The school, known to have produced national sports icons, also seeks support for sporting activities to discover more talents in the school.
