Tottenham legends Glenn Hoddle and Ossie Ardiles in the money with horses thanks to multi-millionaire fan

TOTTENHAM legends Glenn Hoddle and Ossie Ardiles are back ‘scoring goals’ – but this time on the racecourse thanks to a multi-millionaire fan.

The former England boss and his ex-Spurs team-mate have got together with talkSPORT host Alan Brazil in the ownership of a horse.

Trained by Roger Varian, Miss Fascinator was sent off 9-4 favourite for a fillies’ novices stake at Ascot on Friday.

She made smooth headway from a furlong out under jockey Silvestre De Sousa and saw the 7f trip out comfortably to win the £8,100 first-place prize.

What’s better, she easily saw off fourth-place Pearl Of Windsor, who is owned by Chelsea star Noni Madueke’s dad Ify.

Neither former Spurs men were at the track to see the victory but were straight on the phone afterwards for the debrief.

Racing manager Gary Coffey said: “This is a fun racing syndicate made up of mainly Spurs supporters.

“Our boss Graham Smith-Bernal, who owns Newsells Park Stud, is a Spurs enthusiast.

“So Glenn, Ossie and Alan are unfortunately not here but they are on the phone and are thrilled we’ve scored our first goal, if you like. It’s onwards and upwards from here.

“She is a lovely filly which we bought at the Breeze-ups with Jamie Piggott.

“She got stuck in the mud the last day at Newmarket but today the quicker ground suited her perfectly.”

This was Miss Fascinator’s first win in three attempts and the two-year-old filly, who cost £75,000, looks to have a bright future.

Mind you, the former Tottenham men will have some way to go to match Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson’s exploits in racing.

The Old Trafford hero recently dropped £660,000 on the world’s most expensive jumps horse ever sold at auction.
