Love Island fans only just realising they’ve been pronouncing pasta name wrong after Joey says it on shopping trip

LOVE Island fans were left gobsmacked last night when they realised they’ve been pronouncing a type of pasta wrong their whole lives.

Thursday night’s episode of Love Island saw the boys go on a shopping trip to prepare for dates in the villa with the girls.

As Joey Essex and Ayo Odukoya picked up ingredients to cook for Jessica Spencer and Jessy Potts respectively, the former Towie star blew fans’ minds.

Joey helped Ayo locate the item, they both casually pronounced the popular pasta fusilli as “foo-silly”.

But viewers flocked to social media to confess they had no idea that’s how you said it.

One wrote: “omg is that how you pronounce fusilli this whole time?”

Another said: “Is that how you pronounce “fusilli” I’ve be dead ass saying fusilli like “muesli” my whole life.”

And a third added: “i aint never heard fusilli pronounced as few-silly before.”

Fans were also left convinced producers scripted a scene between Joey and Ciaran Davies last night.

Just four days ago, they had an explosive row during the Grafties, with Ciaran telling joey to “shut the f*** up!”

So fans were left baffled when Ciaran picked Joey to be his wing man for buying something special for his lady Nicole Samuel.

The pair were even seen chatting away as they walked down the street, as if they were the best of friends.

When they arrived at the shop, Joey asked if he was thinking of a ring or a necklace, with Ciaran joking: “I don’t think a ring quite yet.”

As a result, viewers accused show bosses of faking the scene and making Ciaran and Joey act.

One viewer insisted: “this Joey & Ciaran scene has to be the most blatantly scripted scene in the history of love island omg?

“I know [the producers] begged Ciaran with this gift for Nicole for him to do that scene with Joey. Wow that acting was insane.”
