Retail realty leasing doubles sequentially in Q2, hits 3.3 million sq ft in H1 2024

In the second quarter of 2024, retail leasing activity in top Indian cities doubled to 2.2 million sq ft, driven by strategic expansions and store closures in response to shifting consumption trends. Bengaluru, Delhi NCR, and Mumbai led the leasing surge, with a focus on fashion and apparel, F&B, and premium segments. Domestic brands dominated leasing, while international retailers from EMEA, Americas, and APAC regions also contributed significantly.
