David de Gea ‘offered to shock Serie A club’ just days after ex-Man Utd ace dropped cryptic transfer hint

Despite winning eight trophies and amassing 545 appearances for the Red Devils, the popular goalkeeper has yet to find a new club.
According to transfer insider Nicolo Schira, however, the ex-Spain international has been offered a way back to elite football via Genoa.
Schira claims an intermediary has tried to fork out a deal with the Serie A club this summer.
De Gea has been working hard to remain fit during his long hiatus from football.
And the Spaniard has been dropping a raft of cryptic posts on social media.
That is while sharing photos and clips of himself working on his fitness.
De Gea’s most recent enigmatic tweet saw him posting an hourglass emoji, prompting fans to speculate about the meaning behind it.
The keeper has been linked with various Premier League clubs, such as Newcastle and Nottingham Forest.
The ex-Atletico Madrid star also been the target of interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia.
Genoa finished in 11th place last season in the Serie A with four points separating them from the top half of the table.
A probable move would see De Gea playing under Italy cult hero Alberto Gilardino.
