Sky Italia report that Tottenham remain in talks with AC Milan over the potential sale of Emerson Royal, and the latest offer on the table is just shy of €15m (£12.7m).

Emerson to AC Milan saga

Another day, another Emerson Royal to AC Milan transfer rumour. The saga has been running for much of the summer, but it appears a deal is getting closer and closer this week.

Gianluca Di Marzio reported yesterday that Milan and Spurs were closer than ever to shaking hands on a transfer, however, an agreement is not yet finalised.

Fabrizio Romano also revealed that there is now only a gap of €3m (£2.5m) in Tottenham and AC Milan’s valuation of Royal this summer.

AC Milan bid £12.7m for Emerson Royal

Sky Italia are reporting slightly different figures today, stating that Milan and Spurs are still €5m apart in negotiations, but they are getting ‘closer and closer’ to agreeing on a deal.

The report claims that Milan most recently sent a bid of just under €15m (£12.7m) to Tottenham, but the North Londoners are still holding out for €20m (£16.9m).

The gap between Tottenham and Milan is said to be reducing, but it feels like we could be in for another few days of haggling before we hear about any kind of breakthrough.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I am very confident this deal will get done. You don’t spend this long negotiating over €3m-€5m just to back out of talks altogether.

Tottenham and Milan will find some middle ground within the next week and Emerson will fly from South Korea to Italy – that is my prediction.
