Troy Police investigate stabbing on Bank Street

Troy Police say they responded to a fight on Bank Street that resulted in a stabbing on Thursday night.

TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Troy Police say they responded to a fight on Bank Street that resulted in a stabbing on Thursday night. Police reported that a 17-year-old boy was stabbed in the head during the fight.

The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect was a 15-year-old who was detained at the scene and later arrested, according to Troy Police. Police report that the juvenile will appear in youth court on Friday.

The scene is safe and all the people involved have been located and interviewed, according to the police. There will be a police presence at the scene while they investigate.
