Sunshine & warmer temps into the weekend for Columbus area

Overnight, skies will be mainly clear, with dry air, and a light wind, lows will drop to the mid to upper 50s.

FORECAST DISCUSSION:

Good Friday Evening,

After a beautiful and dry day today, we will see mainly clear skies this evening, and temps falling back into the 70s. Overnight, skies will be mainly clear, with dry air, and a light wind, lows will drop to the mid to upper 50s.

Saturday should be another great day with sunshine, and highs in the upper 80s. Most of Sunday will be nice, with increasing humidity, and clouds late in the day. By the evening, showers and a few storms will move into the southwest part of the state. Overnight, expect more chances of rain showers into the area.

The focal point for rain and some storms will extend across our area on Monday and give us our best chances of rain and storms on Monday, therefore, temps will be the coolest, and most seasonal in the middle 80s. The atmosphere looks to be quite juicy next week, so any showers and storms that do form, could be very efficient rainfall makers. This is something we need as most of our area is abnormally dry or worse.

In fact, many of us are under some sort of drought conditions as of now. Rain chances look to slowly decrease Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and into Friday, but not completely go away. With rain chances slowly decreasing, high temps will slowly increase into the upper 80s by the end of the week.

Because of very high humidity all week long, expect overnight lows in the lower 70s each night only. Also, it is important to note, even though rain chances go down slowly through the week, any showers that do form, still could be heavy rainfall makers any time during the week.
