Beautiful weekend, heating up Sunday, rain next week

Less humid air has filtered into Ohio, as high pressure builds across the Great Lakes, with a northwesterly flow of slightly cooler, drier weather conditions.

Puffy clouds are offset by a thin layer of high clouds and some haze from the Northwestern wildfires, but nothing like the extent of last year's fire season.

Less humid air has filtered into Ohio, as high pressure builds across the Great Lakes, creating a northwesterly flow of cooler, drier air. Temperatures will be in the pleasant low 80s, then cool off to the comfortable mid- to upper 50s tonight.

A warm-up begins his weekend that will see readings back into the upper 80 and low 90s, as high pressure pushes off to the east. Winds will turn southerly Sunday, allowing more humid air to flow northward on the back side of high pressure over the Northeast.

A few showers and storms could push into southwestern Ohio late Sunday, but the bulk of the moisture will remain off the south of central Ohio until Sunday night,

Rain chances will develop during the first half of next week, with several rounds of showers and storms, aided by a stalling frontal boundary near the Ohio River that will lift back northward midweek.

Temperatures will top out in the upper 80s and morning lows won't drop below 70 degrees in a muggy air mass all week.
