The LKV Mirrors are a pair of minimalist mirrors by the Zagreb-based architecture, design, and spatial interventions practice, Studio Pi. Designed for the Croatian retail shop Lunilou X IZAKOVA, which houses both childrenswear and womenswear brands, the LKV Mirrors consist of two distinct mirrors — one larger and one smaller — made to represent the two age groups.

The design of the mirrors was inspired by the rippling effect made by water droplets falling into a pond. Embodying this phenomenon with its fluid and amorphous surface, the duo of mirrors mimics the dynamic distortions of water caused by falling drops. 

Made from organically shaped constructions of unevenly polished stainless steel, and supported by carved limestone plinths — repurposed from beams of an old, demolished church — the LKV Mirrors embrace the beauty of imperfections in the natural world and contribute to the ethereal environment of Lunilou X IZAKOVA’s retail space.
