Former UAlbany police officer sentenced for sexually assaulting a child

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A former University at Albany police officer was sentenced to 15 years in prison for sexually assaulting a child. John Kyle Dizon, 24, pleaded guilty in March to rape in the first degree.

Investigators received a tip that Dizon had sexual contact with the 11-year old in Bethlehem two years ago. Dizon was an officer with the Newburgh Police Department when he was arrested.
