Steve Sarkisian, wife Loreal jointly file for divorce
Texas head football coach Steve Sarkisian and his wife Loreal announced Friday afternoon on Instagram that the two have jointly filed for divorce.
AUSTIN (KXAN) — Texas head football coach Steve Sarkisian and his wife Loreal announced Friday afternoon on Instagram that the two have jointly filed for divorce.
Sarkisian and Loreal both posted the same message on their Instagram story. The two got married in 2020 when Sarkisian was on the staff at the University of Alabama.
"After many heartfelt conversations, we have decided to amicably part ways and jointly file for divorce. We aim to remain the best of friends and are incredibly grateful for the love and support we have shared throughout our journey together," the Instagram story said.
The message included how their commitments to their respective careers moved them to this decision as they emphasized the difficulty of prioritizing time for each other.

"While we appreciate all the love and encouragement we have received, we kindly ask for your understanding and respect for our privacy during this transition as we embark on this new chapter in our lives," the post continued.
Before launching her styling business in 2017, Loreal coached track and field coach for USC. She ran hurdles at North Carolina A&T State University.
Sarkisian is set to start his fourth season at the helm of the Texas football program. The Longhorns will likely be a top-five team in preseason polls.
