Vote to create new California city taken off November ballot

FAIRFIELD, California: Officials said this week that the California Forever campaign, a Silicon Valley-backed initiative to build a green city for up to 400,000 people in the San Francisco Bay Area on land now zoned for agriculture, will not be on the November 5 ballot.

A Solano County report released last week raised questions about the project and concluded it "may not be financially feasible."
