A Night of Queen with The Bohemians

Three consecutive nights of Queen’s best music are coming to enrich the island’s nightlife scene. Music fans will have to be a little patient as A Night with Queen will arrive in October beating any post-summer blues.

Presenting three iconic shows in Nicosia, Limassol and Paphos are The Bohemians, considered to be one of the best European Queen tribute bands. Get ready Cyprus, this sounds to be a show not to miss!

For almost two hours, the four musicians from Great Britain (Rob Comber, Marcus Tate, Dan Church and Kevin Goodwin) will take the audience on a musical journey through time and invite them to a Queen live party.

Outlining a bit about what to expect, the organisers say: “By the second song at the latest, singer Rob Comber, alias Freddie Mercury, has captured the audience completely. From then on, old and young enjoy the spectacular show side by side, not missing any of the immortal Queen hits such as Bohemian Rhapsody, We Are The Champions, A Kind Of Magic, Don’t Stop Me Now, We Will Rock You or Radio Ga Ga.”

The island will enjoy the tribute band on October 13 at Strovolos Municipal Theatre, October 14 at Pattihio Municipal Theatre and October 15 at Markideio Municipal Theatre. So far, The Bohemian’s shows have received great reviews from big names in the music industry.

Spike Edney, Queen’s keyboard player named it a “brilliant show” while Brian May, Queen’s guitarist wrote “Thank you guys, brilliant.” Lesley Ann Jones, a Freddie Mercury and Queen biographer describes their show as “the best you are going to see or hear ever.”

There is no doubt these reviews create an exciting buzz around the upcoming Cyprus shows as The Bohemians are considered to be the most dynamic and exciting Queen tribute band currently on tour. The musicians have worked hard not only to look like their idols – Comber’s personality and stage presence resemble Freddie Mercury’s while Christopher Gregory looks like Brian May and plays the guitar like him.

Expect true-to-the-original costumes and props to create the illusion of a perfect live show.
