B&M shoppers are rushing to buy popular Asian drink as it’s spotted on shelves

B&M SHOPPERS have been raving over a popular Asian drink after spotting it on the supermarket shelves.

The Taiwanese drink has won the hearts of customers since it was first released in the mid-80s.

Bubble tea shops have been popping up around the UK, but one drink costs £5.

However, B&M has brought the Asian beverage to your local store and they are scanning for only £1.25.

The beloved drink comes in a number of flavours including Peach Iced Tea & Strawberry and Lychee Iced Tea & Passionfruit.

The tea-based drink first made its way from Taiwan across the world to the US in the 1990s with the arrival of Taiwanese immigrants.

It then spread to other parts of the globe where East Asian communities have had a prominent presence.

Bubble tea is a cold drink made with tea, sweetened milk or other flavourings, and contains balls or “pearls” of tapioca – a starchy substance in the form of hard grains.

The Popa Boba drink on sale in B&M comes with chewy popping boba.

These are spherical balls filled with bursting sweet juice.

Shoppers have been thrilled to find the bargain offer on the shelves of the discount retailer.

One said:  “I bought a lychee one to try and it is just as good as others

“Just make sure you keep them in the fridge for a while before drinking.”

“I’ve had both flavours and they’re both delicious,” wrote another shopper.

“Upright in the freezer for an hour gets them nicely chilled,” said a third fan of the drink.

It comes as confectionery fans have been left delighted after spotting 334g packs of Nestle Quality Street Strawberry Delight for just 10p in B&M stores.

While the iconic Favourites of the Purple One was seen selling for just £1.

The delighted customer then posted the news on HotUKDeals and wrote: “Found these in B&M Newbury for £1 and £0.10. I’m not sure if it’s national or just store-specific.”

Meanwhile, B&M is stocking up tubs and tin cans of the Christmas favourite treat at competitive prices.

Such large packs are difficult to find at this time of year, usually making an appearance in time for Christmas.

The supermarket chain is selling the 813g box Nestle Quality Street for just £5.

Tesco is also offering a 600g tub of Quality Street for £5.40 with a Clubcard, down from its usual price of £6.

How to save money at B&M

Shoppers have saved hundreds of pounds a year by using B&M’s scanner app.

The scanner lets you see if an item’s price is cheaper than advertised on the shop floor label.

Products that are typically discounted are seasonal items and old stock that B&M is trying to shift.

The app is free to download off the B&M Stores mobile app via Google Play or the Apple App Store.

According to one ex-B&M manager, you’ll want to visit your local branch at 10am on a Wednesday too.

This is when staff slash items to as little as 10p to clear excess stock and make way for new products.

Shopping around for the best bargain

When hunting for a deal it is important to shop around make sure you are not being over charged.
