23-year-old Wan-Bissaka replacement is considered ‘too expensive’ by Man Utd - Report

Manchester United could consider a move for Monaco star Vanderson if Aaron Wan-Bissaka leaves the club this summer.

The 26-year-old has entered the final year of his contract at Old Trafford and the Red Devils are reportedly open to offers for him.

Wan-Bissaka featured in 30 matches across all competitions last season, with three goal contributions to his name.

The right-back is excellent in defence but doesn’t offer an attacking threat.

Erik ten Hag’s side are prepared to let him leave this summer if they receive an offer around £15 million

According to reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United would consider signing Vanderson if the English footballer ends up leaving the club.

But he is reportedly considered ‘too expensive’ at the moment as Monaco want a premium fee for a transfer.

Tottenham Hotspur are also said to be in the race for the 23-year-old who has been an important player for the Ligue 1 side since joining them in 2022.

He has made 84 appearances across all competitions for Monaco so far, scoring six goals and creating nine assists in the process.

Vanderson, who has a contract at the Stade Louis II until 2028, mainly plays as a right-back but he can also be utilised as a midfielder as well as a winger.

The Brazil international could be a quality addition for United but it appears the English giants are focused on signing Bayern Munich’s Noussair Mazraoui.

They are reportedly in advanced talks to secure the 23-year-old’s services after West Ham pulled out of the race.
