‘There are so many other ways you could’ve done this’ people slate woman over her ‘disgusting’ pregnancy announcement

However one woman recently took a different approach to share the wonderful news with her hubby – and the ”disgusting” announcement has scarred social media users.
The woman, Mari, from the US, decided to surprise her partner, Chan, during a visit to an eatery whilst he was patiently waiting for his food to arrive.
But little did the totally unaware bloke know that the dish would come with a surprise – Mari’s pregnancy test, which she had sneakily placed inside the plastic cup.
According to Mari, she had initially planned to share the big news ”the traditional way” – but decided to ”change it up”.
”Because he loves food and because he loves snacks, I just thought ‘Why don’t I just put it in his favourite snack?’,” she explained on Instagram.
Before serving the dish to her husband, Mari quickly grabbed her plastic test, dipped it in a sticky sauce thought to be tamarind and covered it with Tajin seasoning.
All ready with the epic surprise, the mum-to-be, who’s currently 18 weeks in their journey, then handed the special treat to Chan who couldn’t wait to tuck in.
To avoid any suspicion, Mari also told her man that the place had changed their Tamarindo sticks.
”They ran out of them so now they have those- and those are way better,” she could be heard saying in the now-viral video.
After being urged to try the brand new stick, Chan pulled it out and gave it a bite – before realising what it actually was.
Totally shocked, Chan asked his wife if she was pregnant – but then quickly branded Mari ”nasty” once she admitted she hadn’t washed the container.
All chuffed with herself, Mari posted the clip on social media – where the response was brutal.
One horrified user said: ”So you pissed on it then put it inside a drink.”
Someone else agreed, writing: ”That’s really disgusting. There are so many other ways you could have done this.”
”No but why would you think putting a something you peed on into his drink and telling him to bite it was a cute idea,” read another comment under the video which has been viewed more than 17million times.
”If I was your husband, we would be done,” a mortified viewer was disgusted by the ”disturbing” act.

”Sorry that man really loves you cause this is some nasty way to tell him you’re gonna have a baby cringe,” another felt unwell after watching the footage.
Luckily for Mari, it appears that the announcement hasn’t put off Chan, as the pair upload content sharing their pregnancy journey.
After taking the internet by storm for all the wrong reasons, the mum-to-be claimed that she had cleaned the test after all, giving it a quick wipe.
”I was not expecting him to take the tip off of the pregnancy test – that was gross and then he put it back.
”I was like ‘There is no way I can let him taste it after that’ cause I need to kiss him later.”
