Here’s a question: have you ever seen Grant Hill get angry?

It doesn’t happen very often. Or maybe a better way to put it is that Hill has superb control of his emotions and you won't see him get angry very often. He’s as steady as they come.

In this video from CNBC’s Squawk Box, Hill gets a few questions that clearly annoy him, but he’s so good at disarming his interviewer that the guy barely notices Hill is getting a bit testy.

What sort of questions?

Well, like when he was asked about Jaylon Brown not being on the team. “Well since you asked...” was a quiet response but Hill dismissed the notion that Nike was behind it. Hill pointed out that the way the question was framed questioned his integrity and that what was important was roles and building a team, not just getting 12 great players. He also points out that they realized that Bam Adebayo and Anthony Edwards play very well together and that changed things too.

And he does it all with an even keel despite clearly being irritated.

Really, Hill is about as good a role model for a young male as you could hope to find.
