Patrick Dempsey Sports Mustache While Filming Press Conference Scene for 'Dexter: Original Sin'

Patrick Dempsey is spending the day on set of the upcoming Dexter prequel series.

The 58-year-old actor sported a mustache as he filmed a press conference for Dexter: Original Sin on Friday afternoon (July 26) at the Van Nuys City Hall in Los Angeles.

As of right now, it’s unclear if the mustache is real or fake. Earlier this month, Patrick didn’t have a ‘stache as he arrived on set with co-star Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Here’s the show’s synopsis: Set in 1991 Miami, the series follows Dexter (Patrick Gibson) as he transitions from student to avenging serial killer. When his bloodthirsty urges can’t be ignored any longer, Dexter must learn to channel his inner darkness. With the guidance of his father, Harry (Christian Slater), he adopts a Code designed to help him find and kill people who deserve to be eliminated from society without getting on law enforcements’ radar. This is a particular challenge for young Dexter as he begins a forensics internship at the Miami Metro Police Department.
