A North Country brewery is taking "local" to a new level with a beer specifically crafted for the summer meet at Saratoga Race Course.

SARATOGA COUNTY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A North Country brewery is taking "local" to a new level with a beer specifically crafted for the summer meet at Saratoga Race Course.

Since 2018, the beer aficionados at Northway Brewing Co. in Queensbury have been developing their own recipes. They've partnered with local companies, like Death Wish Coffee, to create unique flavors that keep connoisseurs on their toes.

But for the first time, this summer, Northway Brewing Co. partnered with NYRA Bets to create a special label beer just for track season. It's called Superfecta Summer Ale.

Max Oswald, General Manager at Northway Brewing Co., said the collaboration was a couple of years in the works. Now, he gets to kick back and watch other racing fans enjoy the product.

"To see it get made, and then see it at the track, I'm getting texts all the time from people showing me the cans," Oswald said, "it's just really fun."

You can only get it at the track. Superfecta Summer Ale will be available for purchase at the Jim Dandy Bar, Clubhouse Grill, Taste NY Pavilion, Cutwater Stretch, select gazebo and portable bars, and in the premium dining areas including the Turf Terrace, Club Terrace and The Porch.
