Two dead in motorcycle crash in west Topeka

TOPEKA (KSNT) - Two people are dead following a crash in west Topeka, officers on scene confirm to 27 News Saturday.

Officers on scene also confirm one car and one motorcycle were involved in the crash.

According to a TPD spokeswoman, Topeka Police responded to the intersection at SW 10th Ave. and Fairlawn Rd. around 1 p.m. Investigators are asking the public to avoid driving in the area and seek alternate routes.

The Shawnee County Sheriff's Office is leading the investigation.
